How do I install and activate a Miyaw eSIM on iPhone?

Installing a Miyaw eSIM on iPhone takes about a minute: open your QR code from the confirmation email or your Miyaw dashboard, add it under Settings → Cellular, switch the line on, and turn on Data Roaming for that line. You can install before you travel — for most plans the validity starts when you first connect in your destination. Steps for iOS 18 and iOS 26 are below.
Before you start
You need an eSIM-capable iPhone (iPhone XS / XR or newer), a Wi-Fi or data connection to download the profile, and your Miyaw QR code — it's in your confirmation email and your dashboard. You can install at home: most plans only start counting when you first connect abroad.
iOS 26 note
On iOS 26 the install is the same, and your iPhone may ask whether the eSIM is for home or travel. A travel eSIM can stay on 'Activating' until you land and connect locally — that's expected behaviour, not a fault.
Install on iPhone (iOS 18 and later)
- 1Open Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Data).
- 2Tap 'Add eSIM' → 'Use QR Code'.
- 3Scan the Miyaw QR code, or tap 'Enter Details Manually' to paste the SM-DP+ address and code.
- 4Tap Continue → Add eSIM, and label the line 'Miyaw' if asked.
- 5Tap the Miyaw line and turn on 'Turn On This Line'.
- 6Tap Cellular Data Options → Data Roaming → ON (required for travel eSIMs).
- 7When you arrive, set 'Cellular Data' to the Miyaw line (keep your home line for calls and texts if you wish).
eSIM setup & troubleshooting
- Do I need Wi-Fi to install the eSIM?
- Yes. The iPhone needs an internet connection to download the eSIM profile. Install on Wi-Fi before you travel; the plan usually starts only when it first connects abroad.
- Should I delete the eSIM if it says 'Activating'?
- No. The QR code can be single-use. On iOS 26, a travel eSIM may stay on 'Activating' until you arrive and connect locally, so keep it installed and contact support if it still fails.
